Congratulations to the six schools of the MVAC who advanced to the OHSAA District Finals set for Saturday. In Division III, the #3 seed Brookfield Lady Warriors advanced with a 45-34 win over MVAC rival Crestview. They will travel to the #1 seed South Range on Saturday at 1 PM. Also in Division III, #4 seed Champion Lady Flashes advanced with a 58-54 win over Youngstown Ursuline. They will travel to #2 seed Garrettsville Garfield on Saturday at 1 PM. Garfield will be entering the league next year as a member of the MVAC.
In Division IV, #1 seed McDonald Lady Blue Devils downed Springfield Local 69-42. The Lady Blue Devils will host from the Grey Tier #3 Newton Falls Lady Tigers who defeated Bristol 36-22. The #2 seed Western Reserve advanced with a win over Maplewood 57-33. The Lady Blue Devils will host #4 seed East Canton on Saturday. Both games tip at 4 PM.
