Three Athletes from two different schools have been named the Mahoning Valley Athletic Conference Athletes of the Week.

Each athlete was nominated by his or her coach. All statistics incurred during the first few weeks of spring sports.

School: Western Reserve High school

Player: Angelina Cappabianca – senior

Sport: Volleyball

Stats: 35 kills, 11digs, 7 service aces, 2 assists, 9 blocks

Angelina is a true team player. She will do anything you ask of her to better the team.  Angelina lead our team and the  league in service aces and she is first on our team in Blocks.  Angelina is a great teammate and shows great leadership by her hard work and positive enthusiasm on and off the court.  Our team is not going to be as successful without this outstanding young lady.

Player: Ally Jones- senior

Sport: Volleyball

Stats: 30 total serve receive, 28 digs. 24 points with 2 service aces

Ally is an amazing athlete that is so fun to watch play on the court. She makes many outstanding saves on the volleyball court with her quickness and competitiveness. She has a great serve and is the best Libero Western Reserve has had in many years. Without her defensive skills our team would not be as successful as it is. Ally is a true asset to our team and controls the back row!
