Three teams in the MVAC will be heading to the OHSAA District Finals set for Friday. In Division IV, the McDonald Blue Devils advanced to the District Finals with a last second shot to down Valley Christian 57-56 in overtime. The Blue Devils will host on Friday night the Warren JFK who defeated Jackson-Milton (MVAC) 60-44.
In Division III, Springfield is heading to the District Finals with a 54-41 win over another MVAC team Champion. The tigers will host either Pymatuning Valley or South Range on Friday night. Also heading to the district finals in the Waterloo Vikings. Waterloo advanced to the finals with a 54-51 win at MVAC rival Newton Falls. Waterloo will travel to Youngstown Cardinal Mooney on Friday night.
