Congratulations to the McDonald Lady Blue Devils as they advanced to the OHSAA Final-4 in Dayton on Thursday afternoon. The Lady Blue Devils defeated the Lady Tigers of Shadyside 58-50.
McDonald opened up the first quarter of the game on a 21-12 run. The Blue Devils were able to maintain a double digit lead throughout most of the game. Senior Sophia Constantino led the Blue Devils with 17 points and senior Molly Howard and junior Lucia Wolford added 10 points each for the Blue Devils.
The Blue Devils will head to the University of Dayton on Thursday to take on the Waterford High School at 2 PM. This will be McDonald second trip to the state final four. There last trip came back in 1991. Good luck to the Blue Devils at state.
